本ページではBDプレーヤーのProfileについて説明する。
BDMVでは次のProfileが定義されている。
- Profile 1: 非ネットワーク対応
- Profile 1.0: “Bonus View”非対応
- Profile 1.1: “Bonus View”対応
- Profile 2: ネットワーク対応(“BD Live”)
- Profile 3: オーディオ専用
- Profile 4: 記録・編集用(“RREF: Real-time Recording and Editing Function”)
- Profile 5: BD 3D対応
- Existing Game Consoles
- Full Profile 5
- Profile 6: 4K対応
